The Regional Municipality of Durham has hired Dufferin Construction to reconstruct and rehabilitate Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23), from 200 metres north of Ravenshoe Road to 75 metres south of Concession Road 7 in the townships of Brock and Uxbridge, according to a Township of Brock notice dated October 2.

The work includes pulverizing the existing asphalt, laying new granular material and asphalt, replacing culverts, improving drainage ditches and installing new street lighting. Ditching and culvert work happens in fall 2026 and road building in spring 2027, with construction shut down for winter from December 1, 2026 to May 1, 2027.

Dufferin Construction will be on site the week of October 5, 2026. Daily lane restrictions will be in effect for the duration of the project; drivers should expect delays and plan for extra time, and use caution travelling through the construction zone.
