About Lynde House Museum

A volunteer host leads visitors through Lynde House, sharing the family’s stories and the house’s role as an inn, tavern and supply depot during the War of 1812. Tours take about 45 minutes.

Behind the house, Clarissa Lynde’s Heritage Kitchen Garden has seven plots growing herbs, vegetables and plants used for medicine and dyes. The house itself has moved twice, most recently to Brock Street in 2013.
